Round Table on the Future of Hydrogen Usage (workshop room B1)

Round Table on the Future of Hydrogen Usage (workshop room B+)

A major hope for decreasing the dependency on Russian gas and to accelerate the energy transition has become hydrogen. And the ideas are to develop this area from a champagne in energy to a more massive usage, also to achieve decarbonization goals with green hydrogen. Not only in mobility, but also in industry usage. But what is needed to achieve this? And how can this be achieved in areas that cannot produce green hydrogen in a substantial amount? And how ready are we for imports?

Topics Discussed among others

•             How much are we ready for scaling-up hydrogen in terms of costs and infrastructure?

•             Are there forgotten areas of cooperation between Czechia and Germany needed?

•             What can inspire us on each side of the border? What are projects / initiatives that can be discussed with their experiences?

•             Where are cooperation potentials in business as well as research and development?

Round Table on the Future of Manufacturing (workshop room C2)

Broken supply chains, rocketing energy prices and lagging back in digitalization – what are the options for companies at the moment to achieve strategic resilience towards future shocks and how can the manufacturing be enhanced. What role do play digital aspects and new materials?

Topics Discussed among others

  • What are the biggest challenges of manufacturing companies at the moment?

  • How can they enhance resilience despite broken supply chains and rocketing energy costs?

  • What are the possibilities of AI, new materials and new energy sources?

  • What are cooperation potentials between German and Czech entities?

Round Table on the Future of Automotive (workshop room B2)

What will become of one of the most important economic drivers in the Czech Republic and Germany? With Germany being the most important economic partner for Czechia in Automotive. The ongoing chips crisis and the shift to electromobility has shown, that the automotive industry will experience disruptive change including business models and technologies. What will come in the next months and how can the relationship between Germany and Czechia be structured to add to resilience on both sides. How can topics such as chips act, gigafactory, battery research be a topic of collaboration? And what about nearshoring?

Topics Discussed among others

  • What can inspire us on each side of the border? What are projects / initiatives that can be discussed with their experiences?

  • Gigafactory and batteries, chips manufacturing including supply chain aspects, artificial intelligence and autonomous driving – all good for cooperation, but is there anything else substantial that we forgot?

  • Are there forgotten areas of cooperation between Czechia and Germany?

  • Where are cooperation potentials in business as well as research and development?

Round Table on Renewable Energy Sources – renewables go! (workshop room C1)

Energy transition has been a buzz word for the last decades, but how much has happened in Germany and Czechia? In order to reduce dependencies not only on Russian oil and gas, another boost for renewables is needed – also searching for underused potential and better use of existing technologies while developing new ones. Not to forgot to get rid of obstacles in the way. Germany has started its “Osterpaket” as it says on Easter – any experiences so far? And how can we better collaborate for making renewables go?

Topics Discussed among others

  • What is the status of renewables at the moment? And what is hindering the more massive application?

  • What can inspire us on each side of the border? What are projects / initiatives that can be discussed with their experiences?
